What's an e-ticket? top
E-tickets (or electronic tickets) are a convenient alternative to traditional paper tickets. With e-tickets, there is no paper ticket to lose, no wait for tickets to be delivered and no shipping charge. Plus, it can make getting through airport security easier. E-ticket holders can print their own boarding passes at the self-service check-in kiosks. E-ticket holders who are not checking baggage may bypass the check-in counter and go straight to the security checkpoint with a printout of their itinerary that shows the airline ticket number(s) and a valid government-issued photo ID.

What sort of documentation do I need to check in for my flight using an e-ticket? top
Print-out and bring with you to the airport a copy of your itinerary that includes your flight information and, most importantly, your confirmation and ticket number. This can be the Travel Document e-mail we sent you soon after you complete the reservation. In addition, bring a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a drivers license, and if youre traveling internationally, your passport. Though most airlines have similar requirements for using e-tickets, there are some differences among them and it will save you time if you call ahead to learn what your particular airline requires.
