This generally depends on why I'm traveling. Mostly, my hotel stay is just a place to lie my head. If it's to visit a client for work, then I'm REALLY indifferent about amenities, because it's usually just one night, and I only spend my sleeping hours at the hotel. If it's a purely
vacation, then most of the time I'm out seeing wherever it is I'm
vacationing, so I'm a little bit more concerned about the amenities, but not much. When amenities become a deciding factor is a lengthy business trip. So if I'm going to be away for say 4 or 5 days, but most of why I'm there is business-related. Then I want to have a comfortable hotel where I can relax after working all day.
