For some people not having to do housework is a big part of being away :)
I know I love the luxury of coming back and finding a pre-made bed. I really really hate making my own bed. *g*
I guess I'm just lazy like that. I'll do most other stuff myself, but it's nice to know that the basics get done while you're out, and so far I haven't had anything stolen from my room.
