    britjojo:
I've eatenn frog, just not a sweet and sour one. I did so knowingly at a time when I was experimenting. That time included such things as conga eel, crocodile, springbok, kangaroo, various and sundry shelled fish such as oysters..... and surprisingly I never found anything that I wouldn't eat again.

Wow, that's some list of food!  I have not eaten frog... S&S or other kind, or eel, croc, springbok (hehe don't even know what that one is!), or kangaroo, but I enjoy oysters very much.  The only thing I ate that I didn't know ahead of time what is was was shark.

Shark I found to be an odd experience at first, but one that I repeated many times. The texture was different-the strands of muscle like a meat rather than the flakes of a fish, but the strands were huge thick things. And this, meaty texture, with a fishy, almost muddy water taste.

Springbok is a kind of gazelle I believe. I had to convince myself that it was a bad springbok and had killed someone so was shot for safety reasons before my reformed vegan self could accept eating such a cute animal!

Thailand is know to have a lot of spicy foods. It is always good to have someone explain the ingredients of a dish before you order it. You do not want to eat something that dose not agree with you.

My worst food experience was at a local pizza shop - the previous owners were great people, but it got taken over, and not long after I decided to see how the new owners were doing. I ordered a pizza and was watching them preparing everything, they dropped a piece of chopped pepper on the floor - picked it up, and put it on the pizza. I felt seriously sick. I'd already paid, and their english was terrible, so I just took the thing, threw it in the bin, and filed a complaint with the local authority. Crazy thing is, the place is still open :(

It might be that they fired that particular emploee, or that the place got inspected and had to clean up it's act.

Alternatively it could be that your council sucks ;)

Have you been in India? There was an Indian Restaurant there who served a chicken curry that really smells bad with a bitter taste. I prefer not to mention the name of that restaurant. I'm not that rude.

I once tried cow liver. It was in the breakfast menu in Switzerland... it was absolutely horrible.
