I have taken many vacations but have never been on an all inclusive package trip.  It seems like a good idea in that everything is all laid out for you, but it is really worth it? Any thoughts?

By inclusive, what do you mean, like a group thing?

he means that theres like, EVERYTHING at the vacation place. Good food, fun places to go, and a bunch of other things. That kinda stuff.

All-inclusive actually means you pay some amount which includes airfare, hotel (with transfers), food and drinks.  When I go on vacation to Caribbean or Mexico I only book all-inclusive packages.

I think I would almost enjoy booking my airfare, hotel, etc. separately...but then, I've never taken one, so I wouldn't really know. 

I've been to the carribean, and I must agree, all-inclusive is the way to go. Aside from hotel and airfare there isn't much else to pay. That leaves "fun" money to go do things with.

We went to Jamaica all-inclusive and it was fabulous.  I would always go that way again.  It makes everything so easy, and you know exactly how much you are spending.  It's so wonderful being able to lounge around or eat or drink anytime you want, whatever you want without having to worry about "paying" for it.  Try the all-inclusive package.  We loved it.

We tried it once on a trip to the Costa de Sol, where we were meeting some friends who had signed up for an exclusive package.  It worked out okay because the resort wasn't really near anything else, but I'll admit that I won't do it again.  The food was good but not a big variety and after four days of nothing but one place, I was bored!

I like all-inclusives for the convenience factor.  I think some resorts actually offer all-inclusive packages just for your stay as well, so you can still book your own airfare.
