If you take a vacation in southern Spain, such as Andalucia, or on the Costa del Sol, you can go on an inexpensive day trip to Morocco. We did this and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We went to Tangier, saw camels, ate a traditional cous-cous dinner, and were entertained by a folk group and dancers. We saw an old part of the city, and visited a traditional pharmacy. We also went to a rug making place, but they weren't too pushy with the sales, in fact we met one Moroccan guy who lives part of the year in the UK near us.
The street sellers can be a bit pushy, but that doesn't worry me unduly.
