    Puerto Vallarta

Anyone been to Puerto Vallarta?  We went last year in March.  It was a great time to go.  As soon as we stepped off the bus at the resort I forgot all of my troubles!  We were there for a full week and I think that was the perfect length.  We had time to sightsee but we also had days to just lounge around on the beach or at the pool.  I was ready to get back home at the end.  I didn't feel like my vacation was cut short at all.  We stayed at the Riu Jalisco which is a beautiful resort.  The lobby is open and just gorgeous.  There are several different restaurants, 2 pools, a great beach, and lots of activities.  I would love to go back and do some more relaxing!

I haven't been there in years but used to go frequently.  For Texans, Puerto Vallarta was a great, sleepy getaway spot.  There weren't many big resorts just little hotels with great pools.  I've sort of avoided it because it's grown so much.  But you recommend it?

We were there for about the fourth time earlier this year.

I really like walking along the Malecon, and stopping in the restaurant/bars and shops.
