I hope that you don't mind that I keep pointing out to you the glitches with the forum, but I found another... The hotlinking feature, (the button with the globe and the chain links on it) is not working. When you click the button, it asks you to enter the URL you wish to add a link for. Then-it SHOULD ask you to enter the text that you wish to represent the link.

Only it doesn't, it just closes the box and never enters your link in the page. I'm just loading IE to see if it is the same there too..... Ok I cannot check that because for some reason I can't log in through IE. Might have my cookies set wrong on that browser as I never use it, will check that later.

Yeah, it's browser related.  You can enter a URL diretcly in the post and it should auto-convert it into a link.  Without using that hotlink button.  What Firefox version are you using?  Is it 1.5 or 2?

I'm using the latest, 2. something. The hotlinking for this type of forum software operates correctly for other sites that I visit, so it seems like there is a little something in the set up that would enable others to use it. Do you have a way to test different browsers at all? For instance the Mac browser-that may not work either.

I am going to look into this but please understand, I am dependent on others here because I did not create this forum software.  Many developers still do not take Firefox and other small browsers into consideration because market is dominated (87%) by Internet Explorer.

I completely understand. I've administrated forums myself, though not this particular type of software, and I also realise that some problems may even lie with the server and be completely out of your hands. However, if you never learn that there exists a problem, it never will be fixed....so I posted. And I am sorry if that is a problem.

Just giving the point of view of the little guy :D

No, don't take me wrong.  You should post about things like that because by fixing all bugs it will make our experiences better.  I've already sent a bug report to community server and it appears they were aware about problem with Firefox. So hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.

Thank you! We may only be less than 12% of the total when considering other browsers too, but thats 12% of a LOT of people! And I'd HATE to be forced to use IE lol.

Hoping for a quick solution of the problem. I know you can do it faremax.
