    Peru in December/January

    Hey everyone,

The plan for a friend and myself is to visit Peru this December/Janaury (specifically Machu Picchu). Now, I already know that it's the rainy season but I'm assuming it won't be rain all day. The thing that we're both most concerned about is the "adventure aspect" of the trip.

We want to hike upto Machu Picchu by ourselves with only a map and some supplies. Is this still possible? Or has Machu Picchu become completely "tour operated"?

    Thanks!

Peru is a democratic republic country. Some establishments are still developing. There are great tourist attractions in Peru such as Machu Picchu, Daytona Park, catedral de Lima and more.
