I may have the opportunity to visit Australia in the early months of next year. I think I can get there quite cheaply (since it won't be holiday season) but once there, how much spending money do you think you would typically need? Assuming you want to walk around and see the sights, hang out on a beach, and have a few beers?
If I did get to go the trip would include a 7 night stay, with 3 days 'working' and the rest as free time.
I just wouldn't want to get there and then be on such a tight budget I was desperate to get home.
