    Activities

What did you do while you were in Hawaii? Are there otehr activities besides going to the beach?

    Re: Activities

Actually there is a lot to see and do.  Mountains and active volcanoes, nature parks with breathtaking views, waterfalls, excellent seafood restaurants, different tours and many other activities.  I personally prefer Hawaii over Caribbean.  The only negative side of Hawaii is getting there.  10 hours of flying for me is just a bit too long comparing to 3-4 hours to Caribbean

    Re: Activities

It is really nice to see these beautiful spots and the radiance of nature.

For me, taking 10 hours of flying would compensate the many wonderful things that you can do when you are in Hawaii.  But of course, I wouldn't do that for many times in a year.  :)

    Thanks for this info.

    Re: Activities

I have to agree that there are many amazing natural things to see in Hawaii.  Its fabulous to see all the waterfalls and the volcanoes up close and personal.  I personally don't like lounging around on the beach very much, so I took a lot of nature walks and tours when we went there.

    Re: Activities

you can scuba dive there very pleasantly (try it, you'll like it!) and the hawaiian islands are along the path of many whale migration routes.  if you go at the right time of year, you can see them breaching literally from your hotel!

    Re: Activities

If I were to ever go there I would dig hitting up the scuba scene and the surfing spots

    Re: Activities

I would love to snorkel in Hawaii.  My best friend snorkeled in Hawaii on her honeymoon and she's got some gorgeous underwater pictures.  Another friend snorkeled while he was in Hawaii and said it was amazing.

Endless activities!  Whatever else you do, you might want to book a dinner cruise early that will allow you to see one of those glorious sunsets. And don't forget Diamond Head... the late shows when lit up are best.

    Re: Activities

When my son was there he thought the snorkeling was wonderful.  It's one of the few times that I've heard him rave about something.  :)  I'm sure he also enjoyed seeing all the beautiful girls too.

    Re: Activities

I'm not into tourist-ish type activites so we try to go local as much as possible.  The one thing we did, and I'm SO thankful, was go out to Pearl Harbor.  I'm not a history buff and normally talk of wars and such is uncomfortable for me, but I was so impressed with all that we learned and got to see at PH.  It's definitely a must see!

Ah, now there's another good idea, Pearl Harbor.  We love history here, too, and plan most of

our vacations around the places where we can see the historical sites.
