I lived there for 3.5 years, and every time I came back to the US, was astonished to see how many people didn't know "where it was."
I've even had people ask if Central America was "in South America."
Do you know where Central America is? Can you name 2 or 3 Central American nations?

I remember Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica and Belize. I know there should be a few more
