    Don't Miss Trattoria (Honolulu)

For those of you headed to Honolulu, I have a must not miss dinner destination for you.  My husband and I visited several restaurants during our honeymoon, and quite honestly were dissapointed in most.  Trattoria however, is right in the heart of Honolulu, and is an absolutely wonderful fine dining Italian restaurant.  Naturally, fine dining in Hawaii means you can still wear your shorts, but we got fully dressed up, split a wonderful bottle of wine, and enjoyed an exemplary meal.  Highly recommended to anyone traveling that way!

Hmmm, seems like we're also heading that way, thanks for this tip, Tigriz.
Are there really less good restaurants in Hawaii?  Being a tourist attraction, I thought that the place must be flooded with presentable restos and so I find this surprising :)

What we found on our trip was that a lot of the "American" restaurants were very poor.  They had limited menus (everything has to be shipped in after all), and the help was not friendly in the least.  The more local restaurants and especially italian places for some reason were great.  Have fun on your trip!

I'm not sure if they have a restaurant in New Jersey or not, it is extremly possible.  Funny enough, I've been to Hawaii, but never been to New Jersey so I wouldn't know! :-)

It may very well be the same owners, I wouldn't know as we didn't ask.  What made our dinner even more exceptional was a wonderful waiter (who was French believe it or not!) who recommended the absolute perfect wine to go with our meal.
