If you are headed to Hawaii and have the option, ALWAYS order fruit with your breakfast.  It is cheap and absolutely delicious in Hawaii.  Plus it's so fresh it's like getting a shot of B12 first thing in the morning. You won't believe the energy you have for the rest of the day!

Yeap, good advise.  Fruits in the morning and seefood in the afternoon. Wat could be better. I especially liked starfruit while in Hawaii

You can't beat a big wedge of fresh pineapple though. The stuff from the supermarket just isn't the same somehow.

Ooh yummy, now you're talking!  I'm not a big fruit fan generally, but fresh pineapple on the breakfast table in Hawaii is a whole different matter!

The pineapple is amazing. I live in California, so the pineapples don't have to travel very far, but the pineapple in Hawaii was divine. I had pineapple every morning. They are so cheap too, as long as you don't buy them at the airport.

We brought a pineapple tree home from Hawaii and it has been hanging in there for 14 years now.  Never produced fruit..... but it's a great little tree and starts many conversations.  My grandmother has it on her glassed in patio.  Always brings a smile to my face.

Thanks for the advice.  I am sure that the fruit there is excellent and the variety the best.  In other tropical locales that I have been fortunate enough to visit the fruit is super sweet and ripe even when I think t wouldn't be.  No waiting forever for good crops to come in and then wait forever for them to ripen before I can eat them.
