    Re: Pirate concerns?

If there is a concern with cruise ships, maybe it's terrorism. Hopefully it doesn't become common.

The Achille Lauro would be an example of that.

I never worry about this type of information. I am very sure that you will really not have to worry even.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

This is so funny because i have never thought about a pirate in my life. I thouhgt they were actually made up if you want to know the truth.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

My sister, when she was growing up, wanted to be a pirate as an adult. She's a teacher now! So yes I had thought of them, but only for comedic value.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

It's crazy how they just bring pirates up and talk about them the way they do. Whn I first started reading I started laghin becuase I knew they were kidding, lol. But I figured out they were serious. Kind of made me feel silly for a second. But I'm going to actually read up on some pirate stuff since they exist.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

Kisna Im with you on that one. I thought that was just a movie fairytale of some kind. So are pirates something that throw people off the boat and drink wine all day long?

    Re: Pirate concerns?

    No! Nowadays they are just people who are terrorists in the same way as those who hijack planes. Take a look at this news story for a little more;

    Re: Pirate concerns?

Or a plane for fear of hijacking, or a car for fear of crashing or carjacking, or a train for fear there might be a bomb on it.........

You can't live in a box. The world is one big fear story-we just have to make the best of it we can.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

Thats pretty much it, you can try to avoid life but you can't unless you just stay in thehouse 24 hours a day every single day. You have to face it every once in a while and it just might be the day you choose to face it, that something happens. So why hide and not live.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

That would be a very boring way to live I feel. I am not an adventurous person at all, but I love to travel and get out and about with my daughter. She deserves to see some of what I have enjoyed, and that won't happen if I over shelter her.

    Re: Pirate concerns?

I know I feel the same way. I'm not into dangerous trips or anything that will jeapordize my sons safety but I do want him to be able to see more things.
