Mcdonalds have famous burgers and fries. There famous burgers taste good as well as the fries. But not all Mcdonalds have the same flavor of sundaes.

I've always wondered if the Mcdonalds in other countries serve foods relevent to the area, or if they all serve the same hamburgers, cheeseburgers etc.

I used to eat in Mcdonalds once or twice a week with my niece. So far I'm not bored yet with their menu simply because I like watching my niece playing in the mcdonalds childrens playground.

    Re: mcdonalds everywhere!

As much as I hate that McDs is so insidious, I have come to rely on them during several trips that would have otherwise left me starving. Sometimes the local food (and even worse the food served on military bases as I travelled some with the RAF) was just unpalatable. So it was fast food three times a day....

I didn't realise military food was that bad?

I couldn't imagine eating at a fast food place 3 times a day being all that healthy.

My problem is that I actively dislike eating fast food.  I'm a sandwich or pastie person when I'm eating on the run.  I gather cheese pasties aren't that healthy either, but they taste better in my opinion.  It's just a shame hardly anywhere outside the UK seems to eat them.

    Re: mcdonalds everywhere!

My friend ate so much mcdonalds in her whole life that she now has cholesterol.  I don't mean because of that but also all the fast foods that she likes to eat...  she is not overweight, just a little plum... so sad for her.

Yes, very true. It's cool too, because if you go inside a McDonalds in a foreign country, you'll meet a lot of fellow Americans. You'd think they'd try the food of the country but not all people are risktakers Stick out tongue

    Re: mcdonalds everywhere!

lol, very true.  There was one time when I was traveling though were the mcdonalds was a god send.  I had a large group of young choir members I was chaperoning and several of them were starting to get homesick and werent liking the new cuisine no matter how normal we tried to keep it (they were young).  We were getting worried about a couple of them, but then we pulled into a new town and passed a McDonald, on the very outskirts.  Two of the kids lit up and I knew I had to make the driver turn around.  Was the best thing in the world and I swear it got those kids through the rest of a very long choir tour.

We are now aware that there are many branches of Mcdonalds nowadays. You can see it worldwide. What can you say of their services? I mean how fast they served your orders?

    Re: mcdonalds everywhere!

Well, so far I've been to the McDonalds in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Philippines and South Korea. Services are good, average. I'd say some are even better than the U.S. ones. But the menus may differ - each one might have its own local flavor. They don't take away the main menu but add some more stuff to suit that region's customers.
