    Vintage Trains

In Ontario, Canada there's at least one scenic trip on a vintage train. I haven't taken it, but it looks interesting.

Is this common in other areas?

I've seen pretty many of them, yes.  They're mostly found at places that generally have a lot

of tourist traffic from what I've noticed.  And they're fun.  Smile

There's one in Tottenham, I think which is just north of Toronto and it's been used in films that required a vintage train.

I'd love to take a trip on one like that.

Have you found the fares on specialty trips like this to be especially high, or are they

    relatively reasonable?

May be Its a silly question. What is the difference between normal train and vintage train? I've never been in such train.

I second to that. Is there a difference on how these trains look like?

    Re: Vintage Trains

Vintage trains are the old models... trains that you would have seen decades ago... some of them are even the old steam type of trains.  They're just fun and mostly for tourism according to what I've seen.

Yes, while I live in Ontario as well, there are many vintage train rides available in the US and over Europe as well.  These rides are on steam trains generally and can take you back to the early years of train travel and can be a most enjoyable ride for the train lover in all of us and worth every penny as well!

    Re: Vintage Trains

The vintage trains in Ontario sometimes show up in film productions here because the production companies need a period train to fit the time frame of the film's story.
