    new luggage

How often do you get new luggage? Do you buy it brand new, buy it second hand, or get it from other sources?

    Re: new luggage

We've always purchased our luggage new and haven't had to buy it too often which surprises me.  We usually buy something fairly simple and inexpensive.  Someday I would love to buy something really good and unusual!

    Re: new luggage

I just bought some new luggage for my most recent trip, and one of the wheels is already dodgy :(

I'm planning on buying some really good / hard wearing stuff next year - it seems to be a false economy if you buy too cheaply.

I bought a new luggage for my travel next year. I'm planning to visit Thailand. I'll meet a friend who's a Thailand monk.

    Re: new luggage

I have bought new and it didn't last very long at all. So next I bought second-hand, from the thrift stores. All of the second-hand luggage has stood up to travel conditions much better than what I paid full price for.Cool

Thats a good idea bee_lady. I might take a browse around the local charity stores.

I'm having massive problems finding 'official hand luggage size' gear though :(
