I'm like you, I stay up too late or I'm just not motivated to hunt for a church and attend services.  I guess I'm taking my vacation to get away from all the usual things that I do on a weekly basis.  Maybe it's not the best way to be but it's the way I am.

I am like you guys, I usually don't attend church while I'm on vacation unless the family members I am staying with attend a church then while I'm there, I will join them at their church out of respect for them.

I guess the best place to worship while on vacation is Rome. Of course, it's a chance to see the Pope and Cardinals. So far, I haven't been to that place.

    Re: worship while on vacation?

I always make a point of trying to get to my church (or rather to the local congregation of it) whilst I am away. I've met some of the most wonderful people that way that I've kept in touch with (via email) until this day. It's not always easy to find a church that would suit you whilst you were away and I have even attended services in languages so foreign that I didn't understand a single word! But I took my song book and sang along in English to the songs that they sang in, for example Russian.

I'm not religious, but if I'm travelling with religious people I will respect their wishes.

If I were religious then I think I've been fairly lucky as there have been churches near most of the hotels I've stayed in.

I tend to get too lazy. But if you're in Europe, it can be pretty convenient. You can just hop into one of the cathedrals for worship, although you may not be able to attend regular mass or services.
