    Cruise Staffs

Have you observed that most of cruise staffs are good looking guys and sexy ladies? They are all entertaining and very hospitable. Do you think they are train very well?

    Re: Cruise Staffs

I'd expect that most cruise staff members are well trained. I know a lady who worked on ships as an entertainer.

She said that staff would have separate bars on the ship to socialize in, and that passengers would try to get into the staff bars because they were so much fun.

I know a young man who went to school to study being a member of a cruise staff.  I believe he took the entire course but ended up changing his mind.  I don't know why.  He is now a fireman.

That's a sad ending Ozzie. Maybe he was not happy or contented in his job in the cruise. I heard cruise staffs earned big bucks. How true?

Yes, they are generally trained very well and the reason why they have a certain look is because it needs to be appealing to people who travel. Think of how you would feel if they looked any other way, would you be encouraged from brochures to travel.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

They do this all for the purposes of the guest. People find that most people liek to look at sexy people expecially if you are going to be around them for a long period of time. You have to go through extensive training before you can work on a cruise ship.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

Yeh I am pretty sure it is on purpose that they are good looking on the cruise staff.  It helps with the appeal of the cruise since people are into looks.  Also yes I think they do go through training before becoming members of the staff.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

I woudn't want to be on a boat for a long time and not have nice people meet to look at. I'm joking, lol. It's doesn't really matter to me as long as they accomodate me and my needs while I'm cruising the waters.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

I had a friend who was an entertainer on a cruise, and he was decent looking. I am sure that it is part of the hiring criteria-and that like airline staff the women have no choice but to wear certain make up.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

I wouldn't actually say certain makeup, if you are pretty youa re pretty, you can do your makeup a you wish. But they costume or uniform that are given to be worn, is a part of the sex appeal.

    Re: Cruise Staffs

I have a lot of friends who have done the cruise staff thing over the years.  A huge part of the reason the staff is always younger is because the job appeals to young twenty somehtings, they are not tied down to a family or in long term relationships as much and are free to come and go.  When you work these cruise ships you live aboard them for very long periods of time.
