    Bus driver

Ok so I've had an altercation with the bus driver before. He was being really rude and disrespectful. He thought that I was a prostitue or a girl with no place to stay. So he was coming on to me. It got ungly towards the end of the trip. I couldn;t say anything because he was liable to put me off and say I started the drama. Has anyone ever had a problem with the bus driver.

    Re: Bus driver

Not as you have, but I have had issues with them being just generally rude. The worst was in DC, where they don't allow strollers on the bus. You have to fold it before being allowed on, and let me tell you it is NOT easy to fold a stroller with the newborn that you just had to take OUT of the stroller, in your arms, trying to keep baby wrapped up warm because she's only a few weeks old. The dudes get really snotty if you are not fast enough.

    Re: Bus driver

Generally all the bus drivers are rude. I've never found a polite bus driver. And the helpers are more rude than the bus driver. They dont have idea to talk with the passengers. I dont like to talk with them.

    Re: Bus driver

We don't have helpers on the buses here, and so I don't have experience of that. But I have had VERY nice drivers too, who were most kind and helpful with the baby. Everyone is different.

    Re: Bus driver

Sorry to hear of that experience.  I never had a mean or rude bus driver. They are usually friendly (but in a professional manner) and helpful.

    Re: Bus driver

I cant say that I have actually come across some nice drivers before now. They haven;t all been rude but I mean the one I ran into was an more than rude.

    Re: Bus driver

I've encountered rude bus drivers in town. I used to hear dirty jokes from one of the driver in our place. He used to say bad words to me infront of passengers. I slapped him in the face once because of his touching my butt.

Yikes! Did you report him? I'd have had his license for that!

    Re: Bus driver

I use to be a school bus driver and I think people should take into consideration that drivers have to be on their toes at all times. They sometimes deal with hundreds of children. Most of them act as if they dont have any home training. The things that kids do behind their parents back. It is very hard to keep a smile on your face all the time.

    Re: Bus driver

I do feel sorry for the public transport drivers round my area.  I have encountered some rude and nasty ones, but considering what they have to put up with I can sympathise with them having a bad day.

I've found that on longer trips the drivers are usually really nice, though.

    Re: Bus driver

The bus drivers of my area are getting assaulted these days. It's getting so bad that they are quitting. I don't know what is going on.

    Re: Bus driver

Well, I must say, I haven't had a problem with bus drivers as of late.  I walk with a cane (due to bad knees) and I find that most bus drivers are quite accomodating and are not rude in the least.

Randle, did you complain? Write a letter to the company?  I understand that it is a 'he said, she said' sort of scenerio, but it wouldn't have hurt to try anyways.
