Coach / Flight on same day?

When you travel, do you tend to do the entire journey one one day, or stop off for a night to break it up?

I hate sitting still too long, so if I'm going from one end of the country to the other, then getting a flight, I prefer to stay overnight and fly the next day.

It gets expensive in extra hotel stays doing it that way though :(

How do you prefer to do it?

I love to take a rest generally after a travel and love to visit the place. So I prefer not to travel after a flight or coach.

I do it all in one go. I've had entire days taken up with traveling, but I prefer not taking a break to losing out on time at my destination. I want to get where I am going, not visit places along the way.

Thanks for your responses. I'd be stopping off in London - somewhere I have been to plenty of times, and don't need to 'see the sights' at. I would leave a day earlier if I was going to stop off there. My biggest concern really is just being tired after a days coach travel. I hate rushing around.

If it's a choice of being tired, or missing out on a day worth of activities, I always choose to be tired and try and catch up on sleep (and caffeine). It's not always easy, but it can be done.
