I never knew that the marriot had a hotel overseas?! I thought they were just an American hotel. I found out that Germany also has a marriot and as well as a Ritz Carelton. Wow the things that you learn. I wonder what other franchises they have that we also have.

There are Marriots in the UK too.  Actually, there's a lot of American franchises creeping over to Europe.  I gather that ASDA (one of our supermarkets) is owned by Wal-Mart now for example.

Now if only Sizzler would come over here - I really miss their buffet salads, and my husband loves their steaks....
