    cruise rooms

Are you able to ask for a room on the boat that doesn't have a window? Or do all the rooms have a window of some type?

I cannot imagine that it would be possible to build a large cruise liner and make it so that every single passenger room had a window. Perhaps someone could engineer it so-but that would seem wasteful of space. I would imagine rather that the cheaper the room, the less likely it would be to have a window.

BUt you don't see it to be possible for the rooms to have all been built circling the the boat? The circumference of a boat is no way in comparision with a hotel. So thats what makes me wonder.

Yes, they do. They are called the economy cabins, only most cruise ships dont call them that anymore because it sounds bad.  Instead they give them names like the sea master cabin or they are one word names eg. deluxe cabin instead of deluxe luxury master cabin :)

So is there a trend to make these cabins without a porthole more luxurious to make up for the fact that you don't have a view?
