    buses.. overpriced

i paid for a ticket roundtrip to toronto (from montreal) and it came to 200$.(that is adult fare)
so then the next time i got a friend of mine who is a  student to pay for the ticket (and i pay her back) and it came to 100$.
    ..

    recently i discovered RIDESHARE.
check online..different community sites..and people offer rides for wayyyy cheaper than buses.
    i took a car ride..from montreal-toronto..for only 25$!!

    check craigslist.org

If you get asked for a student ID when you board, you're going to have a problem.

I'm not too interested in a long car ride with strangers.

I wonder how the $200 round trip Montreal to Toronto compares to taking the train?

I haven't taken a train before and it's been a long time since I took a bus for any distance to speak of.

The worst thing in our town was the increase of bus fare especially if it rained so hard. Good for student and seniors because they were discounted if they showed their I.D. I guess it's unfair for other passengers.

They aren't going to ask her for a student Id when she boards but they just might ask her for it when she picks up her ticket unless her friend paid for it face to face. But the driver doesn't do all of that. They just want yout ticket and want youto sit down.
