What To Pack For A Cruise

You have booked your tickets and are patiently waiting to embark on your adventure.  Your cruise awaits, now its just a matter of packing for the cruse.  What do you take with you?

First, it is probably a good idea to pack and split your clothes in half (some clothes in one bag and some in the other) so that in case one suitcase gets lost, you will have what you need.  Also, you will want to bring along bags that can be used for your dirty clothing too.

Plan ahead and talk to others that have been on cruses.  See what the dress code is for their restaurants. Take clothing that you will be comfortable in!   Leave expensive jewellry and other items at home!

Take copies of your medical insurance, passports and visas and proof of citizenship (if it is needed).  Take copies of your prescriptions in case your medicine gets lost and vaccination records if they are needed.  Take 3 copies of your airline and cruise tickets and carry them in different areas.  Take extra glasses (if possible).

If you are planning to take your credit cards, alert the company that you will indeed be travelling! Also, take along phone numbers to report lost or stolen cards or traveler's checks.

Planning ahead and a little research is all that is needed when traveling on a cruise.  Do this and you will be good to go!

Nice list of things to remember there.  I especially like the tip about packing some extra clothes and stuff in a bag you are keeping on you.  An airline once lost our luggage for three days and we only got by because we had each packed a couple changes of clothing in our carry on.
