The first time I flew I was totally excited because I had been planning the trip for months. It also helped that I saw statistics right beforehand about more people dying in car accidents than in plans, my younger brother shared that with me in case I was nervous. Of course he then followed that up with the probability of me living if a plane were to come down.
I think unless you are absolutely terrified there are some calming, stress reliever exercises and stuff you can do to calm you down.
