15 years ago I never would of even thought of this, as Delta and United were two of the strongest airline companies out there. Now they are talking about a merger, and Delta appears to want it more:

Wow, I am surprised by this too.  I could understand United wanting to merge with another airline after all the troubles that it has had over the last few years, but I thought they would continue to try holding out.  Delta on the other hand seemed to be doing fine so I don't know why they would want to merge.
