    Travelling Entertainment?

What do you do to entertain yourself on long trips?

I take a portable DVD player if it is going to be a really long journey, and take books / magazines for shorter ones.

The one thing I hate about the DVD player is when people try to watch whatever I'm watching over my shoulder.  I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable being watched, and yet at the same time would feel rude if I tried to hide the screen *g* .

I usually travel with my laptop so I take DVDs along or I am subscribed to Netflixs home viewing program so I can watch no matter where I am.  Other than that I like to take alony my ipod to listen to music.  Honestly though, when I travel I like to go without my normal forms of entertainment and keep my eyes and ears open.  That is the best way to travel .

I used to bring my digital camera. I love taking pictures eversince. Infact, I have enough files of albums at home. I only bring my laptop on business trip.

I'd love a portable DVD player - unfortunately I don't own one. My best resort is in books. It's a nice feeling to know you're actually getting some reading done. I'd also love conversing with a fellow traveler but I believe that practice has diminished quite a lot in the past few decades.
