Hotels With Indoor Water Theme Parks - Are They Worth The Money?

There is a new indoor water theme park hotel that has opened up about an hour away from where I live.  We have gone to out of doors water theme parks during the summer, but these indoor ones are very pricey indeed and this is not including your food.  The general cost for a night is about $250 or so (of course that is with your hotel room) but still, isn't that a little steep?  Has anyone ever gone to one of these?  Are they worth the big dollars that have to be paid?

I have taken the kids to stay in one for the weekend and they had a blast, had a hard time dragging them out for anything.

You can get some really good deals on those places though, you just have to wait to travel at the right times and look around for deals.  If you have kids I would recommend going to one when you travel.  Sure beats a boring hotel room where they are constantly nagging you for something to do.

That price does sound a little steep to me. There's one in my area that relatives have stayed at several times and I'm sure it's not that expensive.

Maybe some of the indoor water facilities can charge more if there's less competition in the area?
