I just returned from a trip to Playa del Carmen Mexico and have to say that it was one of my best holidays ever! So much to see and do. Playa del Carmen itself is great with tons of shopping and restaurants on 5th Ave, but there were so many other excursions to do as well. I visited Tulum and saw the ruins and the beautiful beaches. Did a day trip to Chichen Itza, more ruins that are out of this world. I did a trip over to Cozumel, but I didn't really think that it was worth it you can do more in Playa del Carmen.

We stayed at Barcelo Maya a few years ago, which is quite close to Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed a night in the town, as well.

We also went swimming with the dolphins. Did you do that when you were there?
