Has anyone taken children with them to Hawaii for a Vacation? If so- did they enjoy it? What did you do?

hawaii is very family friendly, although my guess might be that fewer people bring their kids along b/c the atmosphere is conducive to adult fun and its expensive.  kids visiting hawaii would probably love all the water sports available (snorkle, scuba, surf, etc), hiking, rain forrests, volcanoes, helicopter rides, etc.

When we visited Hawaii there were children everywhere!  Lots of places for them to hang out, and the hotels are very kid-friendly.  There are also lots of shops and restaurants geared towards families, at least on Maui where we stayed.

It seems like a pretty family friendly places that probably has tons of activities for the kids to enjoy
