How often do you go on a trip just to see a sporting event? I have gone to Nashville to see a hockey game, and I have gone to Lakeland, FL to see spring training. My latest trip I am working on is to go to Atlanta to see a baseball game.

Me and my son are NY Rangers fans so we go at least 5-6 times a year to Madison Square Garden and couple of times a year to Continental Arena in NJ to see Rangers and Devils.  Both MSG and Continental Arena are about 50 miles away form our house.  I am not a big fan of going to Continental Arena though for the same reasons why Devil fans hate going to MSG LOL.  I did see Rangers once in Ft Lauderdale when they played against Panthers. Are you a Nashville fan?  They are doing good pretty good this year

We  use to go for rafting each year. Each time we spent 1-2 week rafting. There is a resort and we regularly go there. We also treid bunjee jumping last time.

I used to make my family plan our summer vacations around sailing events when I was younger.  Since they always happened near the coast the family was okay with it, otherwise I don't think it would have gone as well. 

We haven't travelled out of the area specifically to see a sports event, but when we were in Florida we did take in a Tampa Bay Lightning game when they were playing the Montreal Canadiens and enjoyed it.

We met another Canadian at a bar before the game and had a chat about hockey and other Canadians living in Florida.
