    Insurance

When you are renting a car, do they expect for you to have your own insurance or do they supply you with that luxury of having theirs already?

    Re: Insurance

This has been discussed a fair bit in another thread I believe. If you are under the age of 25, then you have no choice but to take theirs as well as possibly having your own. If you are over 25 however, having yours is enough. And no, it doesn't come free.

    Re: Insurance

There is this place here that gives their drivers insurance regardless if you are 25 or under. They don't even rely on your insurance. I guess due to alot of fraud incidents but I know they refuse to use any other insurance other than theirs.

    Re: Insurance

Given the fact that they don't want to get landed with a ton of write offs that they cannot replace, I don't blame them. Maybe they had just one too many person who wasn't insured but wouldn't take their insurance and so they stopped being so nice about it and took away the option of not having it.

    Re: Insurance

No people were running around with fake insurance cards. You know you can buy them and make it seem as if you have insurance, Which is pretty dumb to me because when it comes time to use it, The only thing its going to get you outofis  ticket but what about the damage.

    Re: Insurance

Ah, I see. Yes, you are right. Plus its not just the damage that you have to pay for, but likely the costs of the court case when they whip your backside in for insurance fraud.
