    Travel Companions

Do you have a regular travel companion? Before my daughter was born, there was a woman that I took most of my trips with. She was a married lady who worked hard and who needed time away from her husband-a very faithful woman who just got irritated by him if she didn't get a break!

But since the baby I cannot do the kind of trips she wants-a month in Indian, or a fortnight in Egypt. I have too many worries about health issues there, and feel very much like I am letting her down.

In the future I am sure we will start again.

I just travel with my husband - before that I mostly travelled alone - I like my friends, but not enough to spend ages on a coach or train with them :) I like the freedom you have when you're travelling alone or with someone you know very well.

My close friends are my travel companions all the time. Infact, they answered all my expenses before because I don't have a job yet but now I pay my own expenses.

That was nice of them! It is a rare group that would do that for a person in this day and age-I hope that they know how much you appreciate them.

Have you noticed the post above using a blue color of font? I've seen it in other thread. If I'm not wrong, it's a spam.

If not spam it is at least an advertising post for his company. The nice blue font makes it stand out so nicely!

    Re: Travel Companions

I have a casual friend that I started traveling with because she wanted to visit the same places I did and we had the sae interests.  Our travels have made us great friends and I hope to be able to continue traveling with her.  Other than that the only other person I feel comfortable traveling with is my younger sister, but then I have the added responsibility of watching out for her.  My parents would kill me if something happened to her on some crazy trip I took her on.

Aside from work, the only person I've travelled with on vacation is my wife. We haven't been away for more than a week so far. We'll probably try to get away later this spring, based on work schedules.
