I was tickled when I read this for the first time. I would love, at some point in my life, to make it to Greenland. Not to do one of the Santa trips or anything, but just to see what life is like out there-I mean, it would be so very different to what we know of life here. Ultimately, some missionary work out there would also be cool. Anyway, Air Greenland is starting a direct service from Baltimore BWI in May of this year. Flights will be once a week to begin with and twice in summer. Service will end in September.

Every Monday June 11 - August 20

Departure Kangerlussuaq 10:35 (local time)
Arrival Baltimore 13:00 (local time)

Departure Baltimore 14:30 (local time)
Arrival Kangerlussuaq 21:30 (local time)

Flying time approx. 5 hours

I would love to visit Greenland at some point in my life! I mean, it is even more intriguing than Iceland. What do people do there? What is life like? It seems like such a faraway place.

It does sound interesting, and I'm surprised to see that the estimated flying time from Baltimore is only five hours.

I would have thought it was longer than that.
